Okay I'm waiting on my Mega receivers to make it in then I can finish my new 6.8 carbine build I'm working on and I have about $400 left in my budget for an optic. What I'm looking at right now is the 512 Eotech, CompC3 2MOA which I can get on sale right now, or CompM2. I like the Eotech better but the Aimpoints just seem to generally be abit tougher and have better battery life.

Get an Aimpoint with a LaRue mount.

The AimPoint may be a little tougher, but don't let battery life be a deciding factor IF you like the EOTech better.  See the AimPoint vs EOTech thread as it may also help in your decision, or just confuse you further.

I think I'd go with the C3 for its longer battery life (50000 vs. 10000),
unless you want to use it with night vision gear (the M2 is NV
compatible, the C3 is not).

The C3 is a well kept secret.  Same durability and great battery life, less money.  Plus you can get a 2MOA dot, which is nice for a lot of people.

Well I did abit more looking and being as the C3 is 2moa available I think I'm gonna order it. I live in TN and cant use NV for hunting or anything(which is complete bs) so I don't need NV compatability. I'll check out larue, any particular mount that you guys would recommend?

If you don't plan on using a magnifier behind the Aimpoint, get the LT-150.  If you may want to run a magnifier in the future, go with the LT-129.
