Can anyone help me identify where this jacket came from? Its 3/4 length and seems very well made, a little better than the British DPM Windproof Smock.

I have one, it is Austrian.
Watch the old movie The Dirty Dozen, I think it is the second one that they made, they wear them in there. Also seen them in some old German WW 2 photos also. At least they are very similar to it. Scott |

Definitely Austrian. One of my favorite parkas.... I like the heavy cloth.

I agree Austrian NOT australian. Grey Wolf sells some items in that pattern if you need anything else.

They phased that out as I was going in. It is Austrian.
It is based off one of the WWII German Waffen SS patterns. It is a good camo, but politics were not good for it for obvious reasons. I have several uniform types in this patern that I was issued but never used. Most dated from 1968 to 1976. I hated the OD crap they brought in to replace this. |
