Have you looked on the AR-15 / M-16 Retro Forum? They have some reference threads tacked at the top, and/or, you may want to post a link to this thread there. That might increase your chances of getting help.

Yeah.... it looks like the A1 upper AR15 with the tri-angle type handguards similar to the early M16A1 version used by the military in the late '70's to early '80's..
