Picked this up at a show.  CK stamped.  No other markings that I can find.  Does not have m4 cuts.  What rifle do you think it came from and what would be an appropriate configuration if I wanted to use it in a future build; if I wanted to keep it somewhat correct?

Thanks in advance for any information.

Yep. Colt/Kaiser Aluminum IIRC. Real Colt C7 uppers aren't real common. Since it wasn't made with M4 cuts, I'd use a ltwt barrel and build a Canadian carbine out of it eh?

Thanks for replies.  I noticed that it does not have the Colt Proof stamps near the ejection cover; would this be due to being used in another country?

not sure when the proof marks ended, i haven't seen one on an a2 so it's feasible they ended around the c7 timeframe.

Uh....sorry.  Morg mentioned Canadians, and I may have a mild Strange Brew obsession.

Apologies for the hijack....

i checked and my Colt C7 has proof marks.  mine came with a m4 1/7 barrel with newer matte m4 style handguards.
