I have been lurking on the forums for some time now. I'm ready to purchase an AR-15, I'm set on a Bushmaster A3 model. I think I'm up to par with the lingo, and everything else, but one thing I dont know is what "1 turn in 9" means, in terms of the rifiling. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

I can get a new bushmaster A3 model for 880 on sale. overall, i think thats a good deal. yes, i know i can build my own, but im impatient, and I dont have the confidence to build one.. so ill just tinker with this one for a while. Any input/advice is greatly appreciated.

Greetingz! 1-9 refers to barrel twist rate. All answers are here: http://ammo-oracle.com/

It simply means that when the bullet travels down the barrel it will make one full turn every 9". Good luck with your Bushmaster A3. I've got an A2 from Bushy and love it.

Completely agree.  Mine has been perfect after 3 months and 1,500 rounds or so.
