How difficult is KG Koting?

Beautiful gun BTW.

KG Gun-Kote is cake along with most of your bake on finishes. The secret is the prep work and getting the metal to the right temp before you spray. I like to parkerize my carbon steels before I Gun-Kote them. If you're patient and follow the directions it is a simple task. You just need an oven big enough to fit those barrels into.

What barrel manf. would that be?
Would that included the Fake Suppressor and the real OPS INC Brake?

Without scope, rings or bi-pod your looking around $1500.00. Thats also $90 with worth of Gas Buster that you may or may not want. I plan on getting it out to test this weekend, and I'm sure it will be sub MOA, just like all the others.

Is there any way to wring more cost out of this upper for those of use who could never ever ever shoot sub MOA groups but love the look of an SPR? Perhaps use of a standard chome lined barrel? I would love one of these but can't afford the price tag.

Regards,
Gary

The WOA barrels Steve carriers are excelently priced, around 300 IIRC.

ETA

Steve, did you coat the ARMS rail too?

Yeah, it's like the burn crept after I packed it up. What's better is I got the MRE DIRT cheap from a buddy in a weasel-deal because he didn't want to mess with the aggravation of putting it on....

Holy shit! Would KG Gun Kote do something like that? Was that just on semi auto or were you in giggle mode on a -16?

Well, that was Lauer DuraCoat, and I imagine that KG would do the same thing. Just semi-auto...I did that at Bulletfest.

I doubt it, KG is nothing like DuraCoat. KG is the way to go :-)

Well hell...if it won't burn up on a can I may go that way on it when I refinish it. Cause I'm guessing I'm going to get it that hot again

Can KG be sprayed in patterns like that can? I wanna do some durable camo, but if it will cook off, what's the point? I was thinking KG under DuraCoat, but if KG can be sprayed in patterns, then there would be no need.
