Well I was at the local gun shop when I stumbled across and unbeatable deal on a new 20in stainless steel barrel Bushmaster with an A2 upper. Needless to say i'm hooked. I'm looking to pick up another one over the summer, but I'd like some input on manufacturers. So far (I hope I dont start a war over this) it seems bushmaster is about the best. I've also heard good things about Rock River Arms. In your expert opinions what is the best resonably price manufacturer, and who should I avoid. Are there any on-line dealers that have especially good prices? What are some good gun shops to find deals at in Pennsylvania?

+1. IMO this will grow your understanding of the firearm exponentially and everything you need to do it is right here on the site between the parts, the guides, and the help from other builders.

Would it be cheaper to say call rockriver arms and have them send me a bunch of parts rather than buy the rifle? It should be not problem assembling the thing. In fact I might even be designing them one day.
