Hi Folks,

I am considering options for attaching a sling mount directly to the A2 handguards of my Armalite M-15, for shooting NRA High Power, and am under the impression that handguard-mounted sling swivels would put less pressure on the barrel and affect POI less. I stumbled upon the Harris Bipods AR-15 adapter, and I was wondering if anyone has experience with it.

Is it sturdy enough for sling-supported shooting, and does it add much weight to the rifle? Also, if anybody knows, is my hypothesis about minimizing POI shift correct?

Thanks, and I can't wait to hear from anyone who's tried it!
