Having a problem with a new RRA Tactical Car A4.

I just bought this a couple weeks ago, was bought complete and has about 600 rounds total through it.

Took it out shooting today and about halfway through a magazine it suddenly stopped firing (trigger would not release hammer).  I performed SPORTS (live round ejected) and tried again and still nothing.  When I opened up the receiver I noticed that the hammer pin had worked its way loose and the hammer was tilted a little to the side.  I pushed the pin back in, but the hammer was still stuck in the 'cocked' position, the trigger will not release it and the selector will not go into Safe position.  I was able to poke around and push on something in lower receiver (disconnector?) and got the hammer to release, but whenever I cock the hammer again (either by just pulling the hammer back or closing the rifle up and using the CH) it does the same thing again.

I have looked at pictures on this site and everything seems to be in the proper place, any ideas?

(three weeks I've had this thing, we've had three weeks of solid rain, finally get some decent weather and THIS happens... grr)

Awesome... found a ~1/4" long piece of wire sticking up out of the pistol grip hole.  Looked like someone snipped the end of a wire and it fell into the receiver somehow.

Everything is working beautifully now, thanks!  (well, still need to take it back out and shoot it a bunch more to be sure - now I NEED to go shooting lol)

Double check your hammer. It sounds like it lost its J-spring (which would result in the pin walking out...and you finding a similar bit of wire under the FCG)

Good call, there is no J-spring in the bottom of my hammer.

Guess I have to call Rock River after all...

Thanks!
