Is there any problem/drawback to installing an "H" buffer standard A2 buffer tube with a standard A2 buffer spring?

I'm trying to reduce the recoil of a 20 inch SS target rifle.

Yeah, its a carbine buffer and you need a rifle buffer. Look into the Olympic Arms pneumatic piece, it works wonders.
