Well me and my buddy went to the gun show in West Palm Beach today. HOLY CRAP!!! What a ridiculous crap show. The prices were horrible!!! First thing I see when we walk in is a Colt 6520 with the low price of $1500. Walked around and more of the same. A USED 6920 w/ quite a bit of noticable wear and a Phantom that looked like it was soldered on by a 5 year old priced at $1800!!! Dont even ask me why it was soldered in the first place. Tons of Colt's that were WAY overpriced. Mostly 6520's and 6721's for hundreds more than a 6920 should cost. Saw some DPMS M4geries priced over a grand. Saw a used Colt well the lower was at least. It had an A2 upper on it w/ a rail system and surefire light . The upper did not even come close to matching the lower and had more play between the upper and lower than I have ever seen in an AR. Plus it was beat to hell. They wanted $1700. I saw a dealer sell a guy 3 D&H mags a pack of ranger plates and 3 magpul followers for $125. Then I asked him how much he wanted for an Aimpoint ML2 and he quoted me $350 otd which is a great price. I guess he could tell I wasn't a jackass. Only one table at the show (Florida Gun Exchange) had reasonable prices on AR's. Not great but reasonable. A couple of 20" Bushies. An A3 at like $850 and an A2 just over $800. They also had a NIB 6920 for $1350. Not good but FAR better than what the other crazy dealers were asking. I went to a show in central Florida a few months back and the prices weren't wonderful but they were reasonable especially being that is was much closer to the AWB sunset. In fact one dealer there was selling 6721's for $975. That is when I bought my Bushy. I guess everything in Palm Beach carries jacked up prices. I have gone to this same show in the past and it has been good but today was by far the worst show I have been to. It makes me sick to think that these dealers will jack people this badly but I guess if they are willing to make these type of purchases with no research they get what they deserve.

I like going to gunshows, but I rarely ever like the prices.

I bought an action wrench for $33 and 2 new mags for $14 each, but the guy also had some rifles on the table. He had a RRA std A2 for sale for $930ish. Thing is, it had a threaded muzzle and no Bayo lug. The barrel wasn't marked on the outside, but I have a really good feeling it was a parts gun because the finishes weren't even close to matching.

He also had a RRA dissapator for $875ish. Funny thing is, RRA doesn't make a dissy

That's what I don't like. People think they're really clever and trying to sell something it's not.

Other than that, I still find myself going to every gunshow within 75 miles in hopes of finding a deal or two.

The WPD show stinks.

The Ft. Lauderdale show is 8/20-21 and much better

I've been through the same thing.  One table had a surplus cold M16A1 barrel for 350. They told me it was a colt,  like it was a really good deal or something. 6920s were at $1950.

Oh yeah one guy had an SP1 upper for $750. I personally would rather buy the whole rifle at that price. It seemed that really only the AR prices were out of line. Most of the handgun prices weren't too bad. One guy had one of the KAC SR25 7.62 sniper rifles for $5000

One dealer also had a Bushy with a side charging receiver. I had never seen that before. I know it's not Bushy. Have you guys seen these? The rifle was used and selling for like $750.

Some dealer tried to pass off a CIA FAL as a preban.

One of the dealers there had a 14.5" Colt upper w/ A2 FH on it. I'm sure he would have no hesitation selling it to anyone in the place. Oh yeah I almost forgot. One dealer has two stripped Colt lowers for $450 a pop.

The only Good deal I got at a gun show was a Colt 30 rnd with a Green Follower for $5.

I should have bought more.

Best deal I found at a show was NIW USGI Parsons mags for $13 a peice during the ban.  I bought all 13 of them.

That's insane.  CDNN has them for $399.  This sounds like the guy selling a MAC-90 with wood thumbhole stock for $800.  I think he really was drinking during the show.  Had to be.

Yeah that for that one I had to give my buddy a nice loud "YOU CAN BUY THE WHOLE RIFLE FOR LESS" the dealer just looked at me and turned and walked away real fast

I think they were. IIRC their prices were some of the worst at the show but I could be wrong.

I got lucky. I always walk intpo every show with the green to back my words, and this one came home at
485+ tax .

She shoots outstanding! Im not lying when I say thqat it has completely changed my overall impressions of the accuracy of AK 47s. Sorry but to me its a 50 to 75 yard gun and in that range it shot
a tight 1.5-2.0 moa at 75 yards with iron.  My Other AK couldnt touch this.

I went thru 6 of the guns he had there before I found my litter pick, I went by the crown and the bore resolution and its proved me right. God I love it and I didnt have to sweat building it, not that thats a problem

The only thing good at a gunshows are the guns and the BS Stories that these knuckleheads tell you to sell a gun.  And even those aren't that good.

yes, 1987. I do believe that it has seen VERY little time in the field. The crown and bore profile helped me pick this one. I thought for a sec it was chromed, lol. It has been a very tight shooter. And as a side
perk, the cheek weld is NOT that bad!

+1. I was more than willing to pay $100 extra to inspect my Bushy before I bought it. However I have learned that at least from Bushy you don't have to worry. If you do order a rifle and it has a problem Bushy will make it right.

I saw Colt MT6400's for sale at my local gun show for $1999  Dealer said "It's a Colt M4!!!"
I snickered.

Still relatively high prices on some mags, some hi cap glock mags for $22 and $25, a Beta CMag for $319, a Glock 33 rd mag for $50

AR15 mags were reasonable, I haggled 6 D&H 30 rd black teflon mags for $80 ($13.33 each).

Dont know why I go to shows anymore except to pass the time I guess

Only gun stuff I'll buy online is add ons..

My rail, covers and vert grip I got online for the rifle I probably paid to much for... Of course I did buy an upper from SAW and one from CDNN which both were perfect but it's still nice ot see what you're buying and have it in your hands that day

"Pre-ban" worn out colt uppers were going for 600-700 at a local show.

If I would have had 6-7 benjamins I would have bought a Inland M1 carbine or a M1 garand. Not a AR15 upper. I need some money...I really want some WWII american rifles!

No way! The Ft. Lauderdale show is smaller and parking isn't free.

The WPB show sucks, but not as much as the Ft. Lauderdale show.

Regardless, i'll be at the Ft. Lauderdale show hoping for 5.56 ammo.

O'm biased.  I rarely if ever see Class 3 at WPB and there's 3 or 4 NFA dealers at the Ft.
