So I'm sitting here thinking about how they are banning firearms based on features, like the pistol-grip, which aside from the baby-killing full capacity magazines seem to be the most hyped "evil" feature because, you know, it allows all of us evildoers to shoot from the hip... (see: action movies / Liberal propoganda)

How long will it take the gun-grabbers to claim that handguns need to be completely removed because they have (surprise) a pistol grip and can be used to spray bullets from the hip? I wonder why they havent tried that yet, or why we dont see it in the movies. Perhaps it just doesn't look cool enough to show a handgun being improperly operated, but somehow a rifle is an OK thing to demonize..

Jeez, I hope no gun-grabbers read this and introduce it at their next group meeting!

My bet is they try to string us up with a ban of "assault weapons" like they did with full auto guns. Maybe even make transfer of ownership a big hassle with the BATF like C3 weapons.
They may also go after guns that are considered compact in an effort to remove evil concealed weapons of mass destruction.
Proof positive that gun owners aren't crazed lunatics is the very existance of these son of a bitches. If we were all foaming at the mouth buck-toothed rednecks, we'd simply, "string them thar lib's up by them's wangers."
Last I checked, this was rare at best.

Oh, they've tried.  The violence policy center use to be called handgun control incorperated.  They were even featured on McGyver if I remember correctly.  The problem for them is that concealed carry has taken off across the nation so banning pistols is a dead issue for now...  

Piostols were actually supposed to be on FDR's NFA list, but housewives complained because they used handguns for self defense (ironic, isn't it).  Anyway, I'm just rambling now so I'll shut up.

Don't like smoking yourself you think.  That's the problem with giving up liberties.  You can't simply choose to support only those you personally like.

What is next for the gun grabbers?

They have already showed their hand during last years "Beltway Sniper."

Their target will be "Sniper Weapons" or as we call them, bolt action deer rifles.

Before the Beltway Sniper was caught the antis thought he was using a bolt action rifle of some type. They started to demonize these guns.

If they got their way, future bolt action rifles can't have bipods, black stocks unless it has a SS barrel, thumbhole stocks, pistol grips, high power optics, or be able to use armor piercing or long distant bullets.

You would have only have handgun caliber bolt action rifles with low power scopes and wooden stocks!

I can hear their battle cry -

I doubt gun grabbers read our posts, they seem quite content in their own ignorance.  From my brief discussions with many of them, they have a predisposed clot in their brain against guns and don't even know why.  My conclusion is that they "don't even want to talk about guns" but would rather just abolish them from the earth.  They certainly don't need our board to give them motivation.

I'm not sure if this is a response to current events or was said as a hypothetical. Unfortunately in NY, they now ban smoking in all reatsurants and bars, and they are talking about a "fat tax" on fast foods.

I guess I was attempting to point out that IMHO those who would eliminate our rights (?) to smoke, drink pop or eat fast food are generally the same group that advocates taking our guns. At present while the liberals have gone mostly into a 'lite hibernation re taking guns' they are very active in attempting to eliminate other freedoms.  And they have been successful in some places - in New York recently as you point out.


While most of us support the constitution and the Second Amendment, including support for the generally detested liberal media through our support of the First Amendment, liberals seek to to reinterpret (or ignore) the constitution.  Liberals always believe they know what's best for us - assholes.

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but you must have an easy life if the only things you bitch about are smoking, booze, and guns. Why is it always the fun stuff??

If you hate communists/socialists/liberals, try growing up in Canada.  I get nauseated anytime I have to go back for a visit.  You can't even begin to have a rational discussion about guns with 99.999% of the population.  

The last straw for me was a few years ago.  I went to buy some stamps.  It cost 50 cents for a stamp to the U.S. and I wanted to buy two of them.  The guy wanted to charge me $1.15.  You guessed it; they even tax stamps up there!    

BTT. Liberalism and freedom are incompatible.
