That is a nice upper. Speaking of which, I should have my new A1 upper here pretty soon as well I wish we could get in on another group buy of new A1 uppers like we did when the retro forum was first started. Those were nice, I just cant stop fondling mine, it makes my wife jealous

Still need an A1 Trapdoor buttstock, an A1 grip, fire control group, bolt carrier group, and sling.
Then mod the lower to A1 specs and send it and the upper off for re-anodizing

Sell the lower and buy an NDS16A1. No modding required!

No NDS16A1 lowers at the gunshow today.
I'm a MD resident - I live in PA for school.
In MD, all lowers have a 7 day waiting period, and a $50 transfer fee.
I ain't got the money or the time to deal with that again.
Instead, cash and carry at a PA gunshow.

LOL I would probably screw it up if I tried Although I have gotten kinda handy with a dremel lately.

you'd do fine... a dremel, file, and sand paper works great.  What you see above was about maybe 45 mins to an hour with the dremel

My first one finished:

No fret, it is not that hard. Just use the dremel to get the rough shape you want and use a file to tidy it up and then sand it smooth. Once you get through the anodizing it is remarkably easy to shape down with the file. I even used a broken dental tool to do a bit of fine shapeing on mine.
