I think you have more options with a 10.5". I like the krink style brakes like the Noveske or if your on a budget you can get the GRG krink off of amazon for 35 bucks. The advantage they have over the KAK is they provide more back pressure for the shorter barrels, helps your gun cycle better. I also like them because they are pretty much a linear comp. as well, directing the noise and blast forward. The KAK will do this just fine, so if you don't need extra pressure than the KAK will be just fine. I run a spikes stt2 buffer, phase 5 spring, and a GRG krink on my 7.5 pistol and it eats everything I put in it, even Tula with no malfunctions whatsoever. Anyway, I'm kind of fond of the Noveske pig, I got one for my next upper I'm working on, that one is going to be an 8.5" 5.56 mm
