Haha, that is why I joined this site after months of just viewing.

You ask a question in a section named "Slings and Other Accessories" at 2:43 in the morning and within 5 minutes you get a reply.

I use this one on my ST-22.  Slipped right over the end of the Stag M4 stock I have on there.  Adds a little bit of length and is non-slip.

On left is SOG M4 pad and on the right is the Tapco M4 pad.

Left side is Mil issue M4 buttpad, on right is SMK pad for original collapsing stock.

Here is the Magpul CTR enhanced buttpad

Of all the pads I have used, I liked the TAPCO pad best.

Are all those the same in terms of felt recoil?

Felt recoil?
From a 5.56 M16 type rifle!?
Are you serious?

I would say they really aren't recoil pads, but more so the but-stock doesn't tear you up.....they do help on the AR-10 though......and I have to agree..."felt recoil off a 5.56",,,,

This pad isnt for me its for my gf. She shot my Colt one time and said she didn’t want to shoot it anymore because it hurt.

She also saw what my shoulder looked like after a case of 7.62x39 and about 100 shells of 12 gauge buckshot and was convinced the Colt was going to give her a huge bruise on her shoulder that would show when she was in her bathing suit.

As of now the only rifle she will shoot is a ruger 10/22.

Buy a Limb Saver Recoil Pad...the medium should fit....it is soft enough and will add about 1" LOP...I  have one on my Field Tactical CD POS riot shotgun...it really does help....she will like it.....it is real squishy...
Sorry....you can get them at WalMart.....about 25 bucks...
