What brand lowers would you think are OK for doing an SBR (registered with $200 tax) build?  I've been a Bushmaster guy so far, but I'm open minded

Depends who like for a logo. That is what it comes down to IMO. The Stag arms have some nice smooth finish on them, but alot of ppl are put off by the deer head. I have a superior arms lower that is nice and what I like is the trigger setscrew under the pistolgrip, takes some of the creep outa the trigger. Otherwise, id go for what one you can get ahold of. RRA, BUSHMASTER, Stag, etc. etc etc

I just put a LRB together last night and everything went together great. The finish and machining quality was excellent, too.

Anything will hold the upper, magazine and trigger group in the right place...  as long as you feel the price was right.

you could save the money you'd spend on a $$$ lower and buy a Superior Arms unit through RB Precision - with the extra money you could use their custom engraving service and personalize it...

It really does all come down to the logo as most lowers are priced pretty closely. I have 2 SBRs and both are RRA uppers and lowers just beacuse I like their fit and finish and it is what I had on hand (because of their fit and finish). Any and all will fit the bill about the same.

For fit, finish and $$$ I have been using RRA lowers.

Thanks, I've got a guy in our IPDA club that is a dealer, He's getting me prices on Stag, RRA & Bushy.  Low bidder wins.

I'm doing an SBR on a MGI Modular lower.  That way I can have a SBR 5.56, .308,  7.62x39, 9mm, 45, and .22 in one package.  Stag makes them, so they look good.

I SBR'ed a Pre-ban Colt lower before the ban expired.

Now I would go with a Colt, Bushmaster, RRA, lower.  I don't know.

Heh, no problem: GTS Dennysguns (board vendor) has lowers with his company logo and safe/semi safety marking made by CMT/Stag Arms (Stag is the commercial side of CMT - Continental Machine and Tool)
