I'm looking for info on this also, if it's any better than wolf. I used the hornady steel/lacquered case stuff last month in a match and it worked perfectly...

Golden Tiger is better than Wolf in all the 7.62x39 that I've come into contact with.  Haven't ever seen any .223

I shot about 200-300 rounds of it today thru my piston midlength with 16" bcm ss410 recce barrel, and gas pistol 7.5" lothar walther lw-50 with no problems whatsoever.   Gonna clean them both in a bit and see if they are any more or less dirtier than when I run the Federals.

I didn't shoot anything past 25 yards, so I can't give you any accuracy reports, but wherever I pointed it at, it hit.  Hope that helps.

Reign, was what you shot from the current lot that Widener's is selling? Does it have sealant at the case neck like their pictures?

When I had an ak golden tiger was way better than wolf. Loaded hotter, more accurate, and cleaner by far. What kind of prices are they asking? Link?

Yeah, I ordered 1k from them last week.

Surprisingly, my rifles aren't any more dirtier than when I shoot Federals, and were just at accurate, but then again i was only shooting at 25 yards max.

I'm looking at the ammo now, and yeah it does have a purple ring around the bullet, but it's not sticky or anything, but dry and brittle.

That's half the price of Fedral XM193.

Couple of questions. Being a 56gr bullet how is the POA/POI compared to xm193? How does it compare to xm193 in accuracy at say 50 yards? I'd love to be able to use this as a cheaper ammo for range use and training.

Also very interested in Golden Tiger and wonder if it's as good or better than Barnaul. At least the price is right!

I shot a bit of it recently.

My 16in RRA shooting only an Aimpoint got 1.5 inches for a 7 rounds group at 100 yards. (Only shot one group with this)
My 18in WOA shooting with a ACOG got 4-5 inches for a 7-8 round group at 100 yards.
After shooting at 100, 200, and 300 yards I'd estimate the velocity at 2900 +- 40 FPS. out of my 18in.
I don't know if there's something wrong with the 18 inch or it just didn't like the ammo as far as accuracy goes.

For the 16" group I bet your innaccurracy improvedyour group.

ie the next round would have been 1" high but you were aiming 1" lower so it put it right next to the rest of them, so when you used the ACOG you saw exactly where you were aiming so you were aiming at the same spot every time showing how the round would truly group.

I'm amazed someone actually shot this stuff. I have seen atleast 15 threads like ths over 2 years, every thread ends in someone saying they are ordering it, and you never hear back from them.

Hey who're you calling inaccurate?

I'm going out again this Friday to confirm zero with some new brakes I bought for the same  guns so I'll shoot another few groups out of the two guns and see if the results are mirrored.

I shot 40 rounds of Golden Tiger through my Bushmaster last weekend. I had 5 failure to feeds in 40 rounds. It's accurate enough but won't feed consistently.

Golden Tiger is GTG in all my AK's and what little 223 I've tried seems good in a Mini-14 and Stephens 200, equal to or better then Wolf.

Bummer. One of my RRAs shot 100 bench rounds and 130 rounds (These rounds were fired over three stages fast) in a competition with no cleaning.

My Home built SPR has put 100 or so at the range and 100 at the same competition.

No issues with each.

I shot over 1,500 rounds in a carbine class recently.  Had one feeding malfunction that I think was magazine related.  Didn't clean my gun at all, and don't plan to.  Easily hit 8" steel at roughly 150 yards.

It's fine.

The ammo arrived.  On initial inspection, it appears that they use smaller primers than Wolf or Barnaul...as in smaller diameter.  I gave up reloading a while back so I don't have any small rifle primers to compare them to...but I am guessing that is what they are.

The Sealant is flaking off at the case mouth...but not a problem.

Range report will follow in a week or so.
