I have several from the SSA to the DMR and Service rifle. I was looking over my SSA admiring the workmanship and noticed that it appears to be a cast part.  You get so used to hearing how shitty gun parts are that are cast but if the Geissele is a casting then they've changed the rules on that topic.

Are they actually cast parts?

Aren't pretty much all AR triggers/hammers (including military M16 triggers and hammers) made from castings?

I didn't know that, interesting. I guess the negative perceptions of cast parts are more related to aluminum parts like receivers.
