I came across this today while researching
mag/gun refinishing products...
Gear-Kote

From what I'm reading, it sounds similar to Perma-Slik.  Anyone ever try this?
I like the perma-slik lubricity, but it's not durable enough in my opinion.
KG also makes a Mag-Kote product but am wondering if it's a thicker
coating like the Gun-Kote finish.

It looks like there are only a few options (other than the usual paint products) that
may serve the mag refinishing process:  Gun-Kote/Mag-Kote, Aluma-Hyde II, Perma-Slik G,
Gear-Kote, Sandstrom 27a / 9a,  and DuraCoat.
I maybe missing some, so what's your experiences?

I use to be on the Perma-Silk band wagon until I tried Gun-Kote.  Even Aluma-Hyde makes an excellent refinish for USGI mags.
