I'm going insane. How do you tell which gas tube length you need? are there set lengths for the car, mid, and standard? I have a 20" stainless heavy and the gas port is probably 12" down?

Sounds like you need a rifle length gas tube.  What kind of barrel is it?

It is an unmarked barrel that a guy has listed on ebay. He sold a bunch of them and they seem to be very happy with them, just to cover my butt :). here is the link, it shows pics of the barrel.

12"?  sounds like a rifle length to me
