A new Gander Mountain opened up in my town so I went down to check it out and get a lay of the land...some of it was good, some bad.  I know one thing I WILL not buy AR anything from them, all of their accessories are cheap chinese stuff, their AR's are priced at MSRP, and their 30 round magazines are..get this..$34.95.  Their ammo was priced higher than anywhere else locally as well, I dunno...they had a good reloading section so it wasn't all bad, just thought I'd share.

I work at GM and get an employee discount.  It's still hard to beat Dealer Pricing at midwayusa.com (no sales tax).

I'm not fond of Gander Mountain at all.

There's two things the local GM had going for it:

Awesome gunsmith

Cheap Golden Saber .40 S&W ammo ($9.99/25)

I was buying a box of Golden Saber about everytime I went there to stockpile it until last night.  They had jacked the price up to $24.99/25!!!  

Well needless to say I'm done buying that from them, and Cheaper Than Dirt has it availble for $9.49 so problem solved.

They still have their awesome gunsmith but I feel bad for him having to work in such a hell hole.
