Denny:
Do you know if the extractor is standard .223 or special for the short 6.8's and what type of insert if any they are running with what type of spring? How does the short gas system treat the brass?
Link Posted: 3/5/2006 7:27:30 AM EDT
Damn sweet.

Denny, you should be proud of that build.
Link Posted: 3/5/2006 7:55:06 AM EDT
Maybe I'm way out of line here, but why does Denny get to advertise twice in the tech forums? He has the same ad running twice; one in the Rifle, Uppers, Lowers and More and the other in AR Discussions.

I believe the forum should be used for technical data and for new and old users to communicate/assist each other. This form of advertisement should be posted where it belongs, in the Industry section.

Stop using the forum for profitable propaganda.

Enough said!

Well Denny, it sounds like you found a loop hole in advertising, by not listing the price. Congrats!

I encourage those that make a home build. Not only does it take some business away from parts dealers like you, but it allows them to share their excitement with others. This is what the forum is used for, to share experiences, ideas, testing and concepts. The readers don't need to be bombarded daily with whatever you want to pawn off on them or what ever you are overstocked on.

Also, Slick, remember that it's the "Free Loaders" that keep you in business. If it wasn't for the free loaders, this forum would have a hard time to exist. Why don't you recommend to the ARForum gods that the forum should be membership only? Then we'll see how long you stay in business.

Also, don’t think you’re special. I believe ALL the BARF.com dealers have the same problem, your just the only one that takes advantage of it. You Sir, spread ten times more propaganda then Wes, Grant, Steve, Jason and Paul combined. I’m not saying to stop advertising; I’m saying you should stop the multiple advertisements.

Good day to you.

Wacky,

Before you spout off about what should or shouldn't go on here, why don't you first at least pony up the twenty bucks and become a member. I like Denny's posts and those of the other dealers. They gives me great ideas.

Regards,
Gary

What I want to know is who cares what goes on in a forum that YOU don't run. Let the people who put time and money into this place delegate what goes on here.

Nice pics Denny...

This is one of the 2 GLOBAL TACTICAL lowers that had a slight blem so it was perfect for a nice coat of Lauer Dura-Coat in Coyote Brown.

Here are some pics of the build and the tech specs are at the bottom.

This is currently the only barrel like it I have. I like the size and balance so I have orders a dozen more barrels just like it. The barrel material is 416 stainless. Just like the 6.8 SPC RECONS the rate of twist is 1:11. Barrel length is 12.0".

All for now. When the weather permits I will range test it for accuracy and reliability. Range testing will be done with the irons and the EOTECH, no big ass scopes as this is designed as a CQB carbine.

You have got to be shitting me, someone is complaining about a member building an AR15 and posting it to the AR15 discussion forum board.

I say FUCK'EM Denny, keep building and posting.

P.S., thanks again for those 7 new in box Vietnam era 20 round Colt magazines you sold me back in 2000.
Got anymore?

Denny,

Nice rifle. You've got me thinking.

By the way, I received the butt pad a couple days ago. Buttstock no longer slips around on the body armor. Great piece of gear. You are a generous man. Appreciate your support while I'm playing in this big sandbox.

Nice build as always.

Is that length of bbl ever going to be availabe in a chrome lined bore and chamber, in the 6.8spc?

Oh, and by they way, that dude is just WACKED! He must of had a bad day. I wonder how many times he's showed his ass today?

I'm jealous of all the good stuff you got, and build. I aint mad at you though.

That sure is a nice looking build. I'm interested in whether the 12in barrel and KX3 runs well. Not very many shorty 6.8s around and they ARE the way forward for a shorty AR IMO.

Can't wait for the CP 7.62x39 mags to come out. Gonna build up a 7.62x39 10.5 and run it head to head against the 6.8s. Battle of the bobbed blasters.

Not my point. My point is guests do not have a say on how the board runs. A guest is just that, a guest. You don't go to a free dinner and then complain to the hostess that the food sucked. I am also sure he doesn't spend a dime with me

Yes he is a troll with an agenda. If I were to reveal his true identity you would be shocked. He is an inside industry guy with some kind of axe to grind with me, Mark LaRue and John Noveske.

I am not ready to out him yet but if it keeps up I damn sure will. He is just hiding behind a phoney name. My posts contain all my information, his don't.

I do not consider the guests on this board freeloaders, I consider them guests. Freeloaders are guests who misbehave

I see, so its all "general hospital" and the shot show must be the season premier. LOL j/k

In any case, oh well. Guns are fun, the end.

That's strange, you didn't seem too interested in "open dialog" in the other identical thread when I suggested that the KX3 is a functionally stupid accessory.

By the way, Denny, some of have been members before and did not renew because of threads like this and the IDENTICAL one in the uppers and lowers section. Last year I spent $25K on firearms ($10K with retailers associated with this site such as MSTN, CMMG, Eagle, SKD, etc) and this year it will likely be double that figure. Being that I am a free loader I will make sure to not bother calling you.

Edited for spelling.

Any range report yet?

I would like to see how much velocity is lost with the 12" barrel.

Thanks,
Edwin

Not enough to shorten the frag distance beyond a practical range.
