Wear the appropriate mask. Your lungs are fragile. I don't remember the name of the filters I use, but they block all vapors and particles: used for most, if not all, environments. It beats hacking blood later in life.

Duracoat is Polane T,
Here is the web site to get a copy of the MSDS sheets. Note: the hardening catalyst in DC/Polane will induce pneumonia if enough PPM’s are absorbed, either threw breathing or absorption threw the skin. Due to this, the product should never be sprayed in a nozzle mixing type sprayer unless full protect equipment is worn/used, included a closed air filter system. As for pre mixing and spraying, as stated, a well ventilated area, with gloves/skin protection and a respirator worn at all times during spraying (air born mist present). |

I think GunKote uses MEK as the thinner/carrier; anyway it says that you can use MEK to make up any evaporation loss during/after storage. Trust me, MEK is bad shite. I used to help manufacture it. Wear your PPE (respirator & safety glasses).

Ask for and read the MSDS sheet on it prior to using. Always paint in a well ventilated area with an approved respirator.

wish id read this before i used duracoat in my basement with no respirator a few years ago. thanks for the info.
