I purchased a used barrel minus the FSB. Is it possible to buy another FSB and install it with the taper pins and the sight not be off, or would it be better to get a FSB with set screws? Thanks for any replies.

Usually the taper pins, FSB and the barrel are manufactured/assembled as a unit. The chance of a replacement FSB taper pin hols lining up with the barrel is small but it could happen. I generally install the replacement FSB's with set screws. This has always seemed to work to date without any problems.

I was kind of figuring i would have to go with the set screw option. I appreciate your reply.
