DPMS, vented or unvented. They are a simple install and simple to remove and clean with simple hand pressure.

I think you will be happier with a two poss 3 peice tube than a cheaper 1 peice tube.

I've got the Hogue on one of my rifles...it's a bit thin compared to the DPMS tube that's on my .308.  I'll assume it's the same tube they use on their AR-15s; if it is, then that would be a nice tube to get.

I got a generic knurled one that came on one my Model 1 kits...I since replaced it with the Liberator II tube from Fulton Armory.  It was fine, seemed sturdy enough.

My RRA Varmint upper had a tube...it's was sturdy also, along the lines of the DPMS.

I don't put hundreds of rounds through my rifles at a session, but I've never had  a heat problem with any of my rifles with tubes.
When they start getting hot, I just shoot something else for a while hehehe.

I like the Armalite Fiberglass Tube. It stays cool (Aluminum heats up fast) and it is not too heavy. It has a pin for a swivel and accommodates the Harris bi-pod as well. I have a couple and I like them much better than the Bushmaster V match.

I am ordering the JP Freefloating handguard in a Deep sea blue. Its the most "vented" handguard out there i think. Plus you can adjust were you want your bipod (if any). Its two piece so you dont mess with the ring at all and it has a O-ring so whne you thread it on it stay on

Bushmaster sells them on their website.  I have the same one on my 20" barrel and I like it just fine.

I also just got my Rock River 3 piece shorty  FF w/4 picatinny rails from ADCO.  It is going on my AWB sunset commemorative frankenpartz rifle.
