I found a Stevens 67L at the gunshow today.  The interesting part is what's at the end of the serial number.....  It could be faked, but I've seen this on commercial Winchesters accepted into military service before.  What do you guys thinK?

ETA More Pics!!

That's what I thought, even if it's a fake, the price isn't bad.  I sent the pics to a friend of mine who's a gunsmith and he said that he's seen them with markings like that before.  So it could be real, but I'm really wondering about the barrel being that long.

You Kansas guys must have had a hell of a gunshow this weekend. This is like the third posting you guys have made this weekend.

The stock looks like it might have been replaced, how about the barrel? Is the wear and patina on it consistant with the receiver?

Could be fake, could have been purchased for use at a trap range by MWR or somthing.
My 1945 built M12 riot gun was $175 out of a pawn shop, so anything is possible.

I'm in Oklahoma City for a training class and found it at the gunshow down here.  But I guess the one back home was pretty good too.    I even found some Colt 20rd mags for $13 each.  Picked up 6.  The finish on the barrel is identical, including wear, to the receiver.  The stock might be a replacement, not really sure.

ETA  I'll see if I can get some more pics and post them.  I hadn't thought of MWR buying it.  That could be it.  But wouldn't it be blued, instead of parked?
