Isn't that called a dum-dum? Thought I read that somewhere if you load a bullet backwards they call it that, and it tumbles erratically when fired, causing more tissue damage.

Shoot it, then give us a report! lol

Yeah, that has to be accurate as all heck. Or does it shoot you because it's going backwards?

Someone come here and hold my beer.

HOLY CRAP!

After reading "It's in backwards" I just grabbed the bullet with my hand and gave it a good twist.

Popped right out. Sure enough....IN BACKWARDS

That's one of those devilish teflon coated cop killer bullets that will shoot through the engine block of a Mack truck.

Assuming one could hit a bull in the ass with such a load, I would actually expect the exact opposite to take place.

When a bullet of this type is fired, it tumbles upon striking flesh because the base is trying to take the lead, so to speak. If you make the base the leader to begin with, I would imagine there'd be no tumbling at all.

that's a winnar

What's especially funny (or scary) is trhat it made it past whatever QC they have going on, was painted on the tip with all the other rounds, and then was packaged.

Was this from loose packed XM855PD?

Looks to be preban

I have done that with .45 caliber bullets to get a nice wadcutter type bullet (.45/70 or .45 colt)

I would never do it with a .223 type bullet though....

yeah...i MIGHT pay $230/1000 for that dogshit.

after this, and the pretzel who would pay top dollar for what is obviously shit ammo? i bought some before the pretzel and my box was full of so much dirt and crud i had to dump the rounds out on a tarp and spray them with an airgun. from that box i bought i pulled out 40 some rounds that were so fubar'd i feard shooting them. bullets set so deep they looked like sabot rounds. cases with 20degree bends in them. bends, folds, a split case mouth... beautiful ammo.

At least they painted the tip . . . er . . . . base the proper green color. I don't know why you're complaining.

Exactly why all boxed or bulk packed 193 or 855 must be inspected. They are all rejects.

Another reason not to buy any of that XMxxx-PD junk.

Glad I stocked up on IMI in 2000-2001.

Well I got this at a gun show Saturday. It was loose packed in a .50cal green can. There was a sticker on it SS109 1000rounds for$189

After I got it home I noticed another sticker on the ammo can that said XM855/SS109. The rounds looks identical to the XM855PD I bought from Wholesale Hunter. As far as could tell briefly counting all the ammo this was the only major defect, the only other defect I found was one round that had some excess paint (green almost down to the base of the bullet) All the other rounds looked ok. I didn't look extra close at every round for bullet set, or split necks, but they all looked good upon brief inspection. A majority of the rounds are 04 stamped.

This is way too funnny, I found the EXACT sam thing in the bottom of my case of XM855. I kid you NOT. I brought it home and was gonna post it on here today and now I dont have to.

It's one of those new CA Legal rounds for the Fab-10

Looks like pretty poor quality control.

I might suggest some image editing software so you can resize your photos.

The bullet is facing the right direction. This is one of them special ops rounds for use when you're surrounded. When fired, the bullet comes out the buttstock & takes out the bad guy behind you. Just need to hold the stock high so your shoulder doesn't get hit. These can also be left lying around for the bad guys to use - just don't let them know about the shoulder thing.

That's just a .223 Wadcutter.

Shoot it, see if it works... Only kidding Don't shoot it but I'm wondering if it would shoot accurately?
