Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Forward mounted pistol scope on an Ar.

I work with a guy and today he was telling me about how he has a pistol scope on his Ar. He has it forward mounted like Acogs, aimpoints, and Eotechs are on a YHM free float tube. Anyone heard of this? I have been looking for a compact 4x or 6x scope, so this peaks my interest.

Probably something like a long-eye relief burris would mount up there ala the Jeff Cooper Scout rifle concept.

I suggest you just go with a red dot, the magnification will just slow you down.
