I have a A1 shorty w/ arms 39 and ML2, I love how this set up works!

Now I plan on buying a Flat Top M4 w/ arms 40 BUIS and a EOTECH for something Different.

Shouldnt the Eotech be mounted  close to the front sight? sorta like my setup above?

Mount it where you like it.

I prefer the crossbar on the bottom of my eotech going through the forwardmost slot in my receiver......you would of course need a rail system to set it up like that. I'm running mine on a Samson rail.

It's a matter of preference. You can mount it up front, or way back. Works fine with either choice.

Some opt to mount it forward so as to avoid themselves from involuntarily squinting their left eye when looking through the lense (mostly force of habit).
