Hello, I have two identical M4 barrels, and one of them appears to have one of the flash hider's ports not correctly aligned in comparison to the other barrel. Would this affect the barrel's performance? I am asking because someone told me not to mess with M4 flash hiders. Please help, I have found this barrel not to be as accurate as the other one.

If they have the standard A2-style flash suppressors with the closed section (where there is no slot), then the closed section is supposed to be on the bottom to keep dust from being kicked up, and possibly to use the upward escaping gas to hold the muzzle down.
