What does a flash suppressor do to the AR15 and is it legal in OH and PA?

It supresses the flash from the ammo (hence Flash Supressor).

Yes its legal providing your rifle was manufactured prior to 13 Sept 1994.  If you rifle was produced after that data then its NOT legal to have on your rifle.

Do they have pin on A2/Which ever is best flash suppressors for non-threaded barrels?

(on registered pre-ban receiver, =P ).  I guess my question is what is the best pin on...
