Thanks to all the great resources here at AR15.com, I recently finished putting together my first AR.  I didn't have any special tools, or even a set of punches, yet I somehow managed to get everything together with no disasters.  I didn't even scratch my lower, but I did manage to get a nice scratch on the end of the pivot pin while installing it.h
Here are some pics of the build:

simple is always looks good.  Well done.  now get ready to go broke as you feel yourself getting more of the black rifle disease.  I got it bad, and i am broke.  probably 2 of the worst things to have at the same time.

Congrats.  Nice rifle.  I really like the look of the A2 stocks on a carbine set-up.  Good job!

Got out to the range with it today, no problems at all firing 40 rounds of WWB.  It might take me a while to get used to the SPROING though, heh.

Here are the first shots fired, at 25 yards.  Pretty much right on, no need to adjust.

50 yards, not too impressive but better than my Saiga on its first outing href=http://img229.imageshack.us/img229/6820/p10021285xa.th.jpg
