AFTER researching a lot on this site. Find what you want, and save up for it. Don't end up settling for less than what you want.

ETA: I see that this is your first post and you just joined this month. Why don't you try reading a bit? Rather than having us tell you what to buy why don't you learn some general knowledge about this gun?

Check out www.eaglefirearms.net.  They seem to have cheap prices on RRA.

I own a couple of DPMS rifles--- there was a long "how good are DPMS rifles" thread not long ago --- you might want to do a search.

The reason I mention this is that there is a guy at our local gun show month after month with nice new DPMS carbines for $650.00

Might be worth a little travel, if you have a gun show close...........

If I was on a budget ...  

I would buy a complete Stag Lower ... Complete Stag Upper ... and have a nice AR at a nice price ....

If you are looking for a carbine..

Buy the Stag Arms 16 inch upper from Aim Surplus. This includes an arms 40 rear sight for $475. 5.56 chamber and chrome line barrel.

Buy the lower from Eagle firearms. $215

Push the pins together.

+1 on Eagle Firearms, and another for Stag/CMT.

You would also be well served to check out the new uppers being produced by Bravo Co. Mfg.  They have features that you normally have to pay much more money for.  I think these new uppers are probably the best uppers on the market for the role they fill.

Ya Ive been reading all the threads and searching before I joined. It seems you can go wrong with bush,colt,dpms,or olympic. Everyone has there grips about all of them. One thing I wont buy is a colt. Just due to there frivilous law suites that Im sure they spend more time on then there guns. That being said bushmasters out of price range so it leave solympic and dpms. I dont really want to do a build myself. So if you had to choose, olympic or dpms? I will being heading to a gun show this comming weekend and the following in Va so I be buying after I scope both of those out.
