Over the holiday weekend I went to my favorite camping spot in Northern Michigan. There is about 10 acres of sand hills nearby. I figured this was a perfect spot to shoot. After about 60 rounds or so I walked the 150 yards to check my targets and found a strange white powder where the bullets where entering the sand. It wasnt just in one spot either it was around all of the targets I had set out and resembled baking soda. Has anyone ever seen this before or knows what this is?

Maybe it was white sand.

"Silica Flour". This is sand that has been pulverized to a fine powder. Looks like baking soda.
