I have been wanting to shoot some Q3131A ever since I became a member of AR15.COM. Now my favorite gun store has a bunch of the ammo in stock..........I bought enough lower the gas mileage of my truck on the way home HAHA. Must go to the range and shoot it, or save it while I can get it...tough choice. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to shoot just one mag.

I like the IMI Q3131A better than Win Q3131. But they are very close. The IMI seems
to be drying up now that Winchester has caught up on it's production. I'd Hold it. and shoot
whats most availaible.

Picked up a case of Q3131a for $205.00 at last weeks fun show. The dealer had five cases and not a one had moved by the latter part of the day as I was wheeling out mine. A competitior had Q3131 for right at $200.00 so I couldn't complain.

If any one is interested in some Q3131a I'll post his contact info as he still has some in stock. Shipping costs would be from Washington State.

got some of the 3131a at a local shop and took it to the range. As i fired it i noticed that the bang was not even close to being consistent. sometimes a hot one almost like xm193 and then the next sounded so weak that i had to check the bore to make sure the bullet wasn't still in there. One walk to my target revealed a OK group with tons of strays. This was at 25 meters. Over and over. Not impressed. I have had problems with other "good" ammo from this shop. I don't know. My 4 boxes were terrible.

I have found Q3131A to be very reliable and consistent.

Post a pic of the box you bough that had all the troubles. Did you save the brass? Can you post the headstamps?

I also have never had a problem out of Q3131A, shot ~2500 rounds of it.

i don't but i will buy a box from the guy i got it from. He doesn't sell much. I bought it a few days ago. It was my first time shooting it. I usually shoot from my stash of XM193. I shot if from a new(less than 500rnds) Mid-length 16" 1:7 CL Upper. These accuracy issues were in the 100-200 round range. The gun has improved by at leaste 1.5 MOA with the 193 when i got over about 350 rounds. The builder of the barrel said his was pretty bad for the first 250. That was before i even shot it. It is a tack driver now with the 193. I'll grab a few boxes of the Q3131a and a quick range report. i have always heard great things about the stuff. I'll send pics of the box's and lot #. $5 a box and 240 for 1000. He tells me the russian silver bear ammo is the greatest and to stock up when i go there.
