Why do people keep re-electing her?  Is there no maximum number of terms a senator can "serve"?  We should push for a constitution amendment if there isnt and get rid of her that way.  I wish she'd pull her head out and look at all the statistics that prove the AWB was not effective and move on to pushing for tough enforcement of the law.  I dont really think that you can prevent crime (though you can stop it mid course with a gun), but you can prevent re-offenders.

The two party system in the US has to stop for any progress in any direction to be made. While polititions debate on what to do for years at a time with their nice 6 figure salaries, golf clubs, yacht clubs, and the like WE the people who hold this now miserable excuse of a country togeather face still more job losses espically in IT, incomes that don't adjust to compensate for the cost of everything increasing, and ideas being thrown around with no action taken.

Not a good idea, multiple parties gets you lovely countries such as Mexico, the Phillipines, Senegal, Bangeladesh, Bulgaria and just about very other shithole in the world.  When you have multiple parties you have SO many factions and special interests, it is like a fight at a family reunion, NOTHING ever gets done.  

The Repbulican party needs to be reformed from the inside out.  Instead of running away from the problem we all need to become politically involved with the party and renew it with a spirit of independance and freedom.

I just moved to this peoples republik, for school (I guess to get "re-educated"), and I can't believe the amount of......I can't even describe it.  I'm around the LA area and the majority of people are so clueless to almost anything that has to do with real life.  It is their own little world out here, which helps me understand why they vote the way they do.  Man are they clueless, and when your clueless you get led by people like satan...... i mean the distinguished Dianne Feinstein.  Owning a gun out here is almost like being a felon, which makes owning one just tons of fun! Then on Larry King Live, he had Bill Maher on as a guest, and Bill called us gun owners "the extra chromosome group". God did that piss me off. He too was up there blabbing on with lies. He obviously didn't know what the AWB was about.

There is no one that is on our side to elect and in a way I can see why. I hate to say it but almost everyone who owns a gun would give up HEALTH CARE, EDUCATION, SOCIAL SECURITY, JOBS and all those other important things. Just so they could have their PRE-BANS. In a way isn't that taking sides not that there is anyone running that will help with the above.
Lets say those 4 things could be fixed and I mean fixed that we all had coverage and security in the future. That our children could go to school and have a education that will get them a Job later on. Lets say NAFTA was the real deal equal trade and decline in poverty. Lets say someone or some party could get that done, but you had to give up you Assualt weapons 50 cal, hunting rifle except for certain calibers.
Would you vote for that party? In reality life could get better but you had to give up that single right you got the balls to do it to make a better world for you and maybe your children. It's funny all this crap about Kerry being a Nam Hero and Bush not doing his duty.
Not one true week devoted to any of these issues or the right to life issue. This whole campaign revolved around AWB and things 35 yrs old. JUST what the candidates wanted. Don't think of the future keep us in a past that was just has violent and divided has the world will be in the future.

So would you give it up......Hate to say I would and I would do it today if someone could make this world a better and safer place. Seems like this should be in the GD section and not here.....

edpmedic, I understand what you are saying, but I think you are looking at it from a liberal point of view.  The assumption is that giving up our "PRE BANS" is some way directly related to having health care coverage for everyone. (just using part of your example)  The reality of the situation is that the two have nothing to do with each other.  Politicians just want to make you believe that there is, because, simply, they are politicians.  Us having proper health care, saftey for our children, etc; has to do with ONE thing and one thing only.  US!!  It is only because people are not of a single collective "way of thinking".  For that reason there will always be conflict and things will not progress to the point that they should.  Please don't construe this to mean that our goal as a people should be to move towards universalism, but rather we choose what is right and not waver.  This idea of "give and take" is fine to a point, but there are lines.  Don't let them get you thinking that the reason we don't have healthcare or things to that nature is because we won't give up things like our "pre bans".  Sorry for the rant guys.  You may now commence with the flaming!

I'll give up government sponsored education, I am 100% against Social Security, 100% against universal health care and so should you. Time had it in this land a man provided for himself. I need and want nothing from the government. You really wanna scare them? Forget about guns, just refuse their programs and tell them you don't need them or want them. Then get ready for UN convoys.

That's because they all subscribe to the "The 2nd Amendment is about hunting" view. I wish someone would straight up tell them that it's about recognizing the constituency must have the power to be able to thwart oppressive, unconstitutional authority from seizing the gov't. The term 'hunting' is found nowhere in the constitution. Nowhere.

When Dobbs & co. make reference to hunting, they are intentionally side-stepping the issue.

All we need to do is find an arfcom member to fit the bill of war hero, upstanding member of the SF or LA community, ect.................................to run against her as a demacrate in the primary and then if he or she loses to run as an independent in the national election.
