Hey everyone,
I am new here but have a question about the Federal Frangible ammo that ammoman.com is selling:

and also the Federal TRU (Tactical Rifle Urban).

The TRU ammo looks like normal .223 ammo with a jacket. The Frangible's tip looks different. Can anyone tell me which one would be good for a home defense (inside the home) situation?

I am concerned about over penetration mostly.

I don't think the Frangible was even designed for Defensive uses. It's a indoor/close quarters training round.

Granted, it would leave a nasty but shallow wound on someone, but I think people here will argue that you won't get penetration to vital organs.

Frangible is horrid for shooting people, leave it for shooting steel plates.
