Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Federal 223 @ $324 per 1000 is this good price?

I found this ammo locally at $324.00 per 1000 rounds, but the guy will not sell to NY residents. Does anyones know where I can buy elsewhere at this price? He will only ship to buyers out of state,  for $324.00 delivered,  is this ammo legal in NY? Just another reason  why I need to move.

I don't know if that's a good price in NY, but here in UT that's terrible.  I can't imagine how 223AE could be illegal , unless there is a restriction on military calibers or something.

I looked at the ammo, and it is the Federal AE223 55Gr FMJ. He is shipping it all over the country. I can not find any local restrictions.  I think I will have some sent to my brother in Rhode Island as it has become hard to find around here at that price.
