was the click the hammer falling or the hammer moving from the disco to the sear?
checked your firing pin protrusion and MAX HS? |

Tweak- forgive my ignorance, but how do I tell the difference - hammer falling or moving from disconnector to sear ?
don't have no-go gauge yet, haven't checked pin protrusion... I'll have to look that one up(how to). Tweak - I am novice, first AR, first 100 rounds. I am an eager student. |

did the click happen when you pulled the trigger or when you released the trigger after charging the rifle?

does the bolt close fully when the round is chambered?

find a FIELD gage and check the firing pin protrusion. are these reloads?

not reloads, new winchester white box 40 pack from Wally-Mart. Will do on the guage and pin. Thanks for your help I will let you know what turns up.
