That's pretty cool, but I noticed you can't use the P Mags and it only holds 3 mags for $250. Looks like it will fit the bill for the HSLD types though.

Bullet is to magazine as magazine is to F.A.S.T.

Cool concept, nice video, wish the price wasn't where it's at.

This is such a bad idea

Definitely a interesting system.  it's like bullets loaded in a magazine.

Im really not sure what I think of that at all. Having put all but my PMAGs in the dust pile, just that it wont work with PMAGs is its first strike. Further questions include (but arent limited to)

How durable is the system? What happens when it is mounted to the front of my IOTV (which has size Large plates front and rear, plus side plates, plus 3 liters of water in the back, plus I weigh about 215, when Im in shape...) and I react to contact by getting the f*** down? (because, really, thats the first thing you do)

How is it effected by dust and sand? Dust and sand gets in EVERYTHING over there.

How space efficient is it? Is there room on my IOTV for two of these things? What if I werent above average in stature (most soldiers are NOT 5'11"+, NOT 215+lbs, and do NOT wear size Large or XL everything) and I wore a size small IOTV or IBA?

How much faster is it, really, than pulling a magazine out of an open top pouch with a shock cord over it?

The guy demo-ing this at SHOT said that this was for Fast Action Drills and fire fights. He said it wasn't there to replace your mag load, this was designed for when action has been initiated.

Wow, 2 lbs of plastic + .2 lbs of nylon = $250. Someone didn't do well in math class did they.

I think this is going to fall into a very user specific niche. If I need to move so much lead so fast that my tactical tailor open tops are too slow, I dont need that widget, I need a belt fed machine gun.

The consensus that I have been reading has run along the lines of "Neat, but why?" and "Bad idea".

If it fails or jams you're down 2 to 3 mags.

It just seems to add too many variables to a process that should be stone simple and reliable. It's also FAR too bulky for only carrying 3 mags, real estate on your vest is valuable, and I don't see this as being a good use of that space.

There might be some application for competition shooters, though.

The consensus, to me, seems more like is neat idea, but will it survive abuse.

Someone remind these chumps what the main cause of failures in the AR series weapon system is

If it held pmags, I might consider it, and I would like more than 3....

Can we get a pic of it sitting beside a standard GI 3 mag pouch.

ETA:  Does it have an anti-tilt follower?

I might consider using such a widget if I knew I had three metal magazines that would work 100%.

It is not a bad idea, but I see a lot of problems other than the price...... Jesus for that price I can get a Beta-C drum and I would be good to go. I'm agree with brasscrossedrifles.

Well I would want it for PMAGs.

Well, I'm going to go against the grain.  I LIKE it, I like it a lot.  I applaud the effort and ingenuity to bring a new product to the market; however, that said, I don't have a need for the F.A.S.T. in it's current form; not due to the F.A.S.T., but due to my needs.

Here are my observations/suggestions:

It looks to be of similar size to a Active Shooter bag.  I'm curious if you could have Eagle add attachment points for a shoulder harness and waiststrap.  A padded BFG 2 point for quick adjustment and a waiststrap for stability with some high denisty padding on the side worn next to the body and this would make excellent Active Shooter kit for LE types like myself.  Keep the MOLLE webbing on the exterior side so that I can attach extra pistol mags, GP pouch, etc.

That I would buy!

I dont like the fact that it only holds 3 mags, but takes up enough real estate that you could put 4-6 mags where this thing would sit with conventional open top mag shingles. Then put the price on top of it, im definitely gonna pass. Maybe the airsoft guys will like it.

Well this is a new system.. they might offer to have more capacity in the future.  I don't think LE needs to carry more than 3 mags for quick access.  They can have the 3 for quick loading, and pouches to carry the backup.  As the situation allows, they can move the mags forward and refill the mag carrier during tactical reloading.

Another idea is someone make a pouch that holds this thing, and on the side of that standard pouches to hold more mags.  Best of both worlds.

A stacking system for more mags would be cool.  If they stacked it sideways they could have gotten more in..

If the price is not too high, I might get one.

This thing is crap.  It don't hold enough mags.  Plus you can't get a mag out if you are laying on your stomach.  Which usually happens when getting shot at.  It takes up too much space.  I used a tac vest in Iraq.  It had three (2 mag) pouches and three more for my 9mm pistol.  Then I had a leg holster that held six more mags.  When the shit hit the fan, the mags slide out just as quick, it don't jam or have a spring to break.  And they pouches aren't plastic and subject to breaking.  This is just one more bell or whistle to throw at the troops and make them pay for themselves.  Troop gouging.  First dead solder they find wearing one of those stupid things should get the company shut down that day.
