Hope you don't literally have anything mounted on the barrel as this will affect accuracy. if you free float the barrel you WILL see and increase in accuracy.

You'll probably get a better response in another forum, this one is primarily concerned with retro rifles and keeping them so.

I'd take all the crap off of the Colt and return it to its pure original configuration than get a "modern" flat top if you what to free float something for accuracy.

Dude, loose the junk, return it to original configuration and if you still want to use surefire lights, pistol grips, free-float hand guards, lasers, can-openers and what not, then get a newer rifle to bolt that stuff on.

As said already, taking off the crap should help accuracy much more than free floating. If you are looking for a tack driver, get a modern AR.

THE DE in the obove pic is obviously OVER KILL. The whole thing should also be gold plated, to match my gold toof.
