Knights makes one, and it is available through www.mstn.biz You may also want to see if you can get it through www.sableco.net

Unless mistaken, I do believe he is talking about a front sight that will mount to the RAS rails. Not a flip up front sight that must be installed to the barrel. To my knowledge, only Knights makes one that is made to mount on the RAS type handguard rails.

Yes it's to mount directly on the forend . a LE friend of mine wants an entry weapon with a seven or eight inch barrel.I'm trying to talk him out of 5.56mm because of velocity loss and muzzle blast.I 'm thinking of something in a heavy weight caliber like 45 acp or.....50 Beowulf

I was excited about these too but only untill I saw that the entry uppers (4.5-6in bbl ) shoot with the power of a .22wmr.  I think someone needs to do some serious load development for these short barreled guns.

It's just what I wouldn't need for entry a gun- pittiable lack of stopping power, and enough blast to cause serious hearing damage to the entire entry-team.

I'ld reccomend a AAC integral suppressed 9mm upper with a 10inch barrel. or a suppressed .45 barrel if someone makes one.

I think this point is why alot of us still have faith in the usefullness of our 9mm MP-5 .
