Anyone have any thoughts on mounting position for an EOTECH on an M4? Personal preferences?

I have my 552 mounted directly on the flat top as far forward as I could put it and still be able to access the batteries without removing the sight. It works fine there. I would like to try it further out but haven't decided on a mount yet. It's basically your personal preference.
