I went ahead and ordered another set of MOE hand guards and these are rock solid (unlike the last ones) and I want to mount a G2 on it.

I currently have a side sling swivel on this gun, but I may get the Mount-in-slot QD adapter thing so I can run my VCAS better. I also noticed IWC (mount in slot) has a new G2 adapter that looks very nice.

Right now I do have a standard VLTOR g2 mount, so if I get th QD thing I should be able to run that. If not I need other ideas.

Here is mine with the Mount-n-Slot light mount and QD sling adapter. They also have a new top mount qd sling adapter coming shortly which I am going to try out.

You can use the mount on MOE handguards, and it also works on M4 hand guards and swivels.

Same gun with MOE's. This is a Scout mount. But you can see how the swivel clears the mount.

ETA:
I'm told the mount can be had to put the light on the other side of the gun as well.

I am also a big fan of Mount-N-Slot. I thought Earl was going to send me a light mount for a G2L but I guess he never got around to it. So I'm waiting to see if we get a mount for the M951 like the Scouts. For now it is on a chunk of MOE rail.

There is also this option if you wish to run a VFG with your light.......

For some folks, it is more ergonomic to have the light mounted in this fashion. So it is just another option. And it only costs $10 more than the standard mount.

Sorry it's blurry. It's a off brand mount, it came with a wingnut on the bottom to lock it down, I removed it cut the bolt down and tightened it down. The worst part about this thing is I ordered it from _____ the worst place you could buy things ever.

If you want a similar mount from(what I've heard) get one from HERE

I tried emailing them before I bought my mount and waited three days without response. I wish I would have tried to call them and got one of their mounts instead of this one. It should work the same way though.

Mount-N-Slot is IWCs patented design. And right now they don't have any dealers. You have to buy directly with them. FYI I asked in the comment box once if there was an arfcom discount code and I got free shipping.

I'm running a Surefire G2L on a Vltor G-series mount attached to the cantilever rail section from the Magpul MOE Illumination kit.
