I have not handled either of these but would like some reviews before I buy.

Pros of the rubberized version would be secure grip, but at the cost of it grabbing everything (rifle case, clothing, etc.).

Does the smooth (I'm presuming like the standard A2 grip) Ergo Grip really need the rubber construction to give a secure hold? I'd hope not.

Also, apparently the rubber version is only available in the right hand model. I'd prefer something that is ambi -- does the RH model really interfere with ambi use?

I'd like to order in the next few days, and would appreciate the opinion of those who have used these pistol grips.

Corey, I do like the Ergo grip a lot, but I highly suggest staying away from any RH or LH contour for a fast action rifle. by using a contoured grip, it effectively limit your rifle handling to your strong side only. With the contoured grip, you will be very uncomfortable when you transition to your weak side. as if shooting from your weak side isn't a chore as it is. Of course, my ultimate favorite grip is the Tango Down Battelgrip, it is probably the best grip on the market and it will carry extra batteries for your electronics. Here is a compro pix. i haven't tried the TangoDown battlegrip, but that's because i'm 100% happy with my ambi Ergo.... i second SMGLee's comments on RH only versions...ambi is the best of both worlds! the black Ambi ergo is actually softer than a standard A2 grip...not quite rubbery (like a Hogue) but with enough flex and grip to notice....i think you'll be pleased with it.

Personally I would go with the Sure Grip Ergo Ambi (rubberized version). If you ever used the AR Houge Rubber grip, it has the same feel, and should give you a better no-slip grip compared to the standard Ambi grip. Also it will not have that "plastic" feel which I really hate. I have tried both versions of the ambi grip and I will stay with the sure grip version. I think I got mine from DEL-TON, check it out HERE
