If you were going to mount an Eotech 552 on an M16A2, what's the best way of going about it and why?

Sorry if it's been brought up before, but did a couple of searches and come up skunked.  I'm familiar with a bunch of different mounts available for the M16A2 carry handle, but don't have any experience with Eotech on anything but a flat-top.

Thanks.

Does this goose neck mount allow you to still use your iron sights?  Of would it be better to purchase purchase handguards with Picatinny configuration rails and attach the optics to the rail?  I want an eotech sight, but I also want to be able to use my iron sights.

The iron sights are very low in the eotech when used with the PRI gooseneck.

What about a rail mount in front of the carry handle?  Does it co-witness OK?

I haven't tried that but it would put the sight a little lower than when using a gooseneck which I think would be a bit more difficult to use.  With the carry handle, I tend to look out over the carry handle and through the sight, it keeps the irons out of the sight picture.  The irons would be more centered though in the Eotech than with the gooseneck, so it should co-witness fine.

Arms #2 will also work, but mounts the sight above the handle.

I ended up buying an EoTech 552 A65 rev F with a Masan mount from DPMS.  They have a 10 percent discount for military, so the whole she-bang, with shipping was $398.  Plus, they are really nice folks (Minnesota, dontcha know) to deal with.

I haven't had a chance to mount it on my M16A2, but it likes my high-riser DPMS HBAR just fine!

Anyone had experience with the Eotech brand gooseneck mounts?

What's the best gooseneck for using an Aimpoint if you want it to co-witness?  Is that even possible?

Have you got a pic of the whole rifle with it installed?  Or perhaps one with an Aimpoint installed on it?
