What would make good entry type ammo?  What I need is something that has good ballistics close range but would not penatrate in interior walls.

Based on everything I have read, everything goes through interior walls.  However, you are looking for light weight and low speed for AR ammo.  A few years ago I saved a copy of a post to this board regarding wall penatration tests.  Note the disclaimers.

No such thing.  The best you can is select a round that minimizes dammage after passing through a wall.
