Anyone using it?

I have one and I like it!

I found mine for $450 on the EE, which was in my budget.

Pros:
Optical quality. This is the best glass I've ever used.
Tritium lit, doesn't need a recharge for 12 years.
Low light capable, with a huge exit pupil.
Reticle is dead simple, long range is fast, close range is fast, just not fast.

Cons:
Heavy. Built like a brick shithouse, but the cost is that the damm thing is heavy. My wife's ACOG  is featherweight by comparison.
Prior to the generation 4 mount, zero could shift. Mine is gen 4 and hasn't shifted in a year.
Big. With the mount it's fricken' huge.

I would buy another one if I needed it. BSW

That's a cool setup you've got there.

Are you talking about the Spectre DR?

That one is going to be very expensive, isn't it?

i was issued a m145 straight scope and it was the worst piece of glass that i've ever looked through!!!! really dark, horrible eye relief, and when it was dark enough to use the Ilumminated reticle it was to dark to see through that dark glass. i refused to use it!!! almost got an article 15 for it too..... but after discussions with my platoon sergeant and got it rectified and no longer had to use it!!!!

I like mine a lot.  Excellent optical quality and FOV.

I believe it to be inferior to the ACOG, however.  The Elcan is heavy and bulky.
