I just don't see that as a good deal for that price.

Cosmetic is a blemish in the finish, not the pivot pin hold being drilled in the wrong place.

I think that they need to go and read the book "Quallity is Free", then maybe that will understand.

They did not offor to refund me my eight dollars to ship them back two defective lowers that I bought awhile back. They did replace them. All of the time talking about having quality checks is just talk if you let bad stuff get into the market.

Just my take,

best of luck to all that try one of these.

No freaking way. Not for $60. I could just pay $20 more and get an excellent quality Stag with a full warranty. Screw that.

Well, they had to do something with all of those lowers that were exchanged a couple of months ago.....

+1 - maybe they need to talk to L.A.R. about the definition of cosmetic. If I'm buying something that's a cosmetic second, it better not need any "filing here" or "fitting there".

Why would companies wanting to keep market share even allow seconds out the door?? I went to a local dealer and he had a Bushy that had been done as a "cosmo" defect. Bad markings under the annodizing on the magwell, possible tool break on CNC?? Looked like sh*t. This makes me wonder what they would pass off that can't be seen readily!! I do custom auto painting and when someone comes to me and just wants a paint job but not the detailed bodywork to make it straight I turn them away. Few guys get mad but I explain to them that it is my name when my stuff goes out the door. I do not want my name associated with ugly sh*t!!

I have been able to get the EA rcvrs for $100 from Quantico Arms in the past, so for $40 I will stick with working units. Somebody else can do it.

haha, I thought the same thing. I am very pro-armalite but with Megas being $89 shipped.... But someone will buy these eventually I'm sure.

So are these the problems that people were having with the Eagle lowers? Think these have made it round trip already?

I paid $75 each for two new (sequentially numbered) EA lowers from Quantico at a gun show in February.... $60 is a rip if gunsmithing is required. I might consider if for $20 each.

I bought one of the eagle seconds at camp perry, OH during the nationals. The triggergaurd is off center. I paid 56.00 for the lower. They had several that were made with the pivot pins off center, but mine went right on the uppers thet they had there at the Armalite Store. I havent assembled it yet, Knock on wood.

Yeah, one of those was mine. I'm staying clear of Eagle Arms first quality let alone something they say is already out of spec.

Lower receivers are cheap enough, I dont get why anyone would want to start a build off with a piece of crap...

You cant polish a turd!
