Titanium Gas Ring

The ERing® is made of a proprietarily developed Titanium alloy that is extremely hard, and simply does not wear.

Am I right: If its so hard that it does not wear, does this mean it wears out the bolt carrier?

I installed the McFarland gas ring and kept the original 3 rings as spare parts. The McFarland looks to be of decent construction, I no longer have to mess with not aligning the original rings.

This quote from their site isn't very assuring:

"ERing - Gas Ring -

A must for anyone with a full auto AR15 firearm or the serious competitorwhen failure is acceptable."

Mcfarland one piece gas rings work great $1.25 a each. But titanium is harder and will probably last longer many many 1000s of rounds down the road.
